Top Investors to Attend 2007 ION Venture Forum

Elite group of venture capitalists and private equity investors commit to attend premier investor showcase

Atlanta, GA (Sept. 6, 2007) - The Atlanta CEO Council, an exclusive organization for C-level executives, today announced that nearly 100 top-tier venture capital and private equity institutions have committed to attend its annual investor showcase, the ION Venture Forum, occurring Sept. 25-26 at the Buckhead Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta.

"The continuing interest of investors in the ION Venture Forum is a testament to its past success and to the quality of the companies that have been chosen to present," said Ashish Mistry, president of the Atlanta CEO Council. "We are excited about the strong pool of attendees and companies registered for this yearŐs event, in addition to announcing what the future holds for this venture conference in Atlanta."

More than 100 registered investors represent institutions from across North America, including California, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida and Ontario, Canada. Some VC firms committed to attend include: AT&T Private Market Investments, Atrium Capital, Aurora Funds, Baird Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Columbia Capital, Frontier Capital, FTVentures, Harbert Venture Partners, Highland Capital Partners, Intersouth Partners, JMI Equity, New World Ventures, OpenView Venture Partners, Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, US Venture Partners and Wakefield Group.

As in years past, investors from leading venture capital institutions will play a major role in the event's success. Venture capital firms including Arcapita, Grotech Capital Group, H.I.G. Ventures, Imlay Investments and Noro-Moseley Partners will co-host an invitation-only dinner for attending venture capitalists the evening of Sept. 25.

In addition to the invitation-only dinner, the Sept. 25 schedule includes "The Georgia Tech Innovation Experience" - an advanced look at technologies and companies in development at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) and VentureLab. These two events will comprise the "investor only" portion of the Forum.

Highlights of the sixth annual ION Venture Forum include a keynote speech presented by Sun Microsystems chairman and co-founder, Scott McNeely, a panel discussion with a number of GeorgiaŐs top CIOs and, of course, presentations from 12 of GeorgiaŐs most promising emerging technology companies.

Registration for the 2007 ION Venture Forum is still open for a limited time. For more information, please visit www.ionventureforum.com/register.php.
